Found Ignitor And On/off Switch Melted On Unit. Cut And Rewired Remote Receiver To Unit And Actuated Several Times With Remote. Added A Hi Temp Insulation On Inside Of Gas Valve To Help Mitigate The Heat Due To Fireplace Use. Removed Sand On Right Side Of Gas Valve For Sa,e Reason. Doors Must Be Open To Operate Unit. Found It Closed While Operating When Walking In. Explained To Customer.

Found Vent Free Box With Vent Free Logs Installed In Box. Saw Issues Of Soot From Front Door All The Way To Unit. Found Logs In Unit Not Placed Correctly Upon Arrival. Took Picture. Raised Burner Enough To Get Out Product Tags And Took Picture Of Model And Serial Number Of Unit. Found Minor Amount Of Loose Soot In Firebox And On Two Logs. Found Pilot Lit Bit Did Not Actuate Main Burner. This Unit Is Consistent With The Brand Sold In Big Box Stores Like Home Depot/Lowes And Did Not Want To Touch Or Move Anything Until And Insurance Adjuster/representative Had First Seen Unit And Home. Did Not Proceed Further Due To This Fact.
